About Us

We specialise in global food sustainability

OUR VISION IS A WORLD WHERE NO CHILD GOES TO BED HUNGRY

Born in a small town in sub-Saharan Africa, Dr Ifeyinwa Kanu, the CEO and Founder of IntelliDigest grew up with a great love of nature and passion for creating things from scraps around her. Following her PhD in Environmental Engineering, she founded IntelliDigest building on that love for nature and the need to evolve a more circular economy.
We aim to support the birth of global circular food systems, which are resilient, robust and capable of feeding the growing global population.

IntelliDigest, which was founded in 2016 by Dr Ifeyinwa Kanu, is pioneering the elimination of food waste through the promotion of a circular economy, by preventing edible food going to waste, and by converting inedible food waste into sustainable chemicals. These chemicals can then be used for the likes of food packaging and cosmetics. Find out more >

A circular economy for food is fundamental for people and planet; The transition to a circular economy is what consumers expect from the food industry, says Ifeyinwa Kanu, CEO, IntelliDigest Find out more >

Our Planet

The aim of the bioeconomy is to substitute the use of fossil resources and other natural resources by renewable resources from plants, wind, sun, etc.

The challenge with plant-based substitute is that humans depend on plant. With over 800 million people suffering from malnutrition and one-third of food grown for human consumption is lost to waste, there is a need to evolve a more resilient and sustainable food system.

IntelliDigest is leading the way in pioneering solutions to evolve a more sustainable food system.
